Hi, I'm Ariel Emilio Parra Martínez, a 22-year-old Systems Engineering student at Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes with a cumulative average of 9.33/10 (equivalent to 3.7 GPA). I'm passionate about programming, especially in C and C++. I have been using Linux as my daily driver for over four years.

I'm the president of the Gallos Competitive Programming Club at UAA and have participated in international contests like the ICPC, where I earned an Honorable Mention. I've also ranked in the top 15 in the ANIEI National Programming Contest and placed in the top 32% globally in the Meta Hacker Cup.

I love to learn independently, which has driven me to earn over 50 credentials (certifications, certificates, badges, etc.) and pursue an international exchange at the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) in France. During my time there, I focused on Computer Networks and Machine Learning, and served as Vice President of UTCode, ranking 1st in the Hauts-de-France region at SWERC 2025.

I strongly believe in using open-source and privacy-respecting software. Whenever possible, I prefer "free" alternatives over proprietary options. I'm also a fan of the KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) philosophy simplicity leads to more efficient and customizable systems.

Outside of tech, my interests include traveling and practicing Kendo, proudly representing the Aguascalientes state team for over 10 years. I believe martial arts help keep my mind sharp and body balanced.
